Senior Director, Client Operations

Passionate about making a difference in healthcare? Have experience working with health systems, hospitals and other providers—as a healthcare executive yourself, a consultant, or a technology company working with hospitals? At AVIA, our Client Operations leaders are responsible for accelerating transformation at the forward-leaning health systems that join the AVIA’s Innovator Network. In order to be successful in this role, a candidate needs to quickly establish and build long-term relationships and credibility with key client sponsors and other senior leaders to influence decision-making and accelerate the adoption of solutions that have been pre-screened and thoroughly vetted by AVIA’s provider solutions team. An understanding of health systems is critical to success as is experience collaborating with senior leaders to drive change, improve patient care, or strengthen operating, technological, or financial performance.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the growth and success of 4-8 AVIA health system clients as measured by client retention rates, solution adoption rates, upsell opportunities, and client satisfaction rates.
  • Establishes a broad footprint of relationships within each account and detailed knowledge of their strategic priorities, organizational processes, and operational constraints.
  • Establishes credibility and builds trust with health system leaders to shape their decisions and accelerate decision making, specifically with respect to solutions that address a specific health system need and deliver a compelling ROI.
  • Develops client communications tailored to a range of audiences, from senior health care executives to key influencers and other partnership stakeholders.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for client healthcare executives, responding to client requests, and identifying appropriate AVIA resources to deliver results.
  • Prepares and leads client calls and on-site visits effectively managing expectations, progress and planning for value delivery, leveraging AVIA resources.
  • Continually monitors client activity and identifies opportunities for AVIA to expand the range of services it provides to each account.
  • Gathers and shares client feedback to contribute to product development efforts and increased client satisfaction across AVIA’s portfolio of provider clients.
  • Supports and refines standardized account management processes.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of health systems and experience working with provider organizations is required.
  •  10+ years of work experience in consulting, health care management or equivalent consultative business development experience required. 
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making, close deals, and manage a large, complex book of business, including management of renewals and identification of cross-sell opportunities.
  • Experience in leveraging a CRM to drive client communication and internal reporting; working knowledge of SugarCRM is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent rapport with clients at all levels, internal and external.
  • Superb problem solving skills and strong interpersonal skills to effectively convey management needs to colleagues and functions throughout the company.

Provider Solutions Leader

Provider Solutions Leader

AVIA is offering qualified people the opportunity to help transform healthcare providers and, thereby, our healthcare system.  The Provider Solutions Leader is responsible for building AVIA’s business and service lines oriented around common healthcare provider challenges.  This individual will work cross-functionally across AVIA to ensure that we both develop in-depth expertise and deliver best of breed technology enabled solutions to providers in AVIA’s Innovation Network.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AVIA cohorts to bring forward the best fit solutions to provider identified challenges
    • Guide the overall framing of and approach to the cohort topic
    • Build trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders
      • Lead conversations with senior health system stakeholders to assess strategic context and performance requirements
      • Partner with health system cohort team to build internal alignment and excitement to drive selection and decision-making processes
      • Guide clients through scope definition and implementation planning to set the path for operationalizing new technology solutions
    • Provide input and coaching to entrepreneurs as they bring their solution forward to the AVIA network
    • Work closely with Provider Solutions Analysts to
      • Develop a fact-based perspective on customer/end-user needs, constraints, and opportunities
      • Develop detailed knowledge of solutions and companies, interacting with technology-enabled solution vendors to evaluate solution effectiveness
      • Create the deliverables that will most meaningfully support our clients throughout the process
  • Work in conjunction Client Operations to socialize the cohort selected solution and drive solution adoption across health systems in the AVIA network
  • Serve as solution company relationship owner for companies selected by the cohorts
    • Develop and maintain partnership goals
    • Stay up-to-date on the state of the business, future plans and AVIA expectations
  • Serve as internal/external subject matter expert on cohort topics and solution companies
  • Work closely with the Market Strategies group to understand the most pressing market needs and biggest opportunities for digital health technologies at our health systems
  • Support the management and development of Provider Solutions analysts

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience within the healthcare sector, preferably with direct experience working with or for healthcare providers in a strategic capacity
  • Advanced degree with a focus on healthcare is preferred (MBA, MPH, MHA)
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent rapport with clients, internal and external
  • Ability to synthesize and derive insights from all of the activity in the healthcare market
  • Interest in and/or experience with innovative technology-enabled healthcare solutions; experience with health care venture capital or solution implementation is a plus

Director of Talent Acquisition

The Director of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for all recruiting activities. This individual will report to the COO and partner closely with the Human Resources Director and Executive team to ensure delivery against all talent acquisition activities for both open and emerging talent needs.

Job Description:

This is a high-volume recruitment role for executive level positions to relatively junior roles within AVIA. This individual will be responsible for all stages of the recruitment process including job posting, screening, interviewing, job offers and on boarding of all new hires with some support on resume screening, job posting, etc.  This position is responsible for:

  • Managing all relevant talent acquisition volume and developing accompanying strategies for sourcing, acquiring and retaining top talent.  The role is responsible for talent acquisition logistics including requisitions and calendar/scheduling of candidates to ensure proper and consistent candidate experiences. 
  • Building the external talent pipeline and exploring any viable talent acquisition partnerships with various search/outplacement firms and/or any relevant industry or functional associations.
  • Aligning AVIA goals/objectives within our client portfolio, while continuously integrating strategic sourcing behaviors and capabilities with the Provider Solutions and Market Strategies teams dedicated to servicing these clients.
  • Partnering with the HR team on enhancing onboarding experience for new hires to drive organizational engagement.
  • Working collaboratively with our Human Resource team and client groups, this individual will build recruiting channels to continuously pipeline reoccurring positions and management level talent.
  • Develop and align with metrics and performance goals/objectives for best practices in recruiting. 
  • Champion consistency and standards in policy and practices to ultimately ensure effectiveness of strategic and proactive programs around diversity and other talent acquisition programs.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of search firm partnerships and outsourced service contracts for full time placement.
  • Manage the creation of effective approaches and tactics to meet talent acquisition requirements. Develop recruiting strategies that are aligned with our business goals to attract and retain talent.
  • Create a positive and professional candidate and new hire experience.
  • Complete all pre-employment screening and reference checking on all applicants.
  • Screen and conduct interviews either on the phone or in person.
  • Provide hiring process activities such as posting jobs on job boards, reviewing applications and maintain the weekly recruiting report.
  • Collaborate with managers to schedule interviews and provide feedback on candidate selection.

  

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. 
  • 8 + years of talent acquisition experience with proven results in a full-life cycle recruiting environment.
  • Previous work experience recruiting within the healthcare and/or consulting professions.
  • Experience with executive search and/or contingency-based recruiting firm industry highly desired.
  • Ability to deliver effective results, meet deadlines and targets.
  • Proven leadership, management and interpersonal skills, with a track record in talent assessment, change management and cultural transformation working with senior leadership at all levels.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize key initiatives to determine which competing projects will provide the greater benefit.
  • High degree of adaptability with a high level of comfort in managing effectively in rapidly changing and evolving environments.
  • Confident and assertive with ‘C-level’ executive presence, strong presentation and communication skills. 
  • A client-service consultative orientation, with attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through on commitments.
