Clinical Director of Provider Solutions

AVIA is offering qualified people the opportunity to help transform healthcare providers and, thereby, our healthcare system. The Clinical Director of Provider Solutions is responsible for engaging health systems in the issues that matter most to their organization. This individual will work across the clinical and business teams of our providers to help them leverage best-of-breed emerging technologies to achieve the Triple Aim: improving the experience of care, improving the health of populations and reducing per capita costs of health care.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Director of Provider Solutions, with their knowledge of the complexities of provider environments, is responsible for leading AVIA’s health system members to action.  Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a clinical leader and subject matter expert across all cohort topics.

  • Leverage clinical experience to:

    • Engage key stakeholders at client organizations in the provider setting

    • Translate health system and clinical operational needs into technical functionality

    • Facilitate discussions and decision making around cohort topics and solutions

  • Lead senior level meetings at provider organizations to drive alignment around a decision.

  • Ensure all cohort topics are framed in a clinical context and provide guidance on prioritization for healthcare systems.

  • Support the creation of AVIA provider playbooks to support implementation.

  • In conjunction with the VP of Client Experience, encouraging health system participation in cohorts organized around the CPC(s) and identifying additional service opportunities.

  • In conjunction with Directors of Provider Solutions, develop perspectives on technology-enabled solutions and their ability to address each cohort topic.

  • Serve as AVIA clinical expert, including speaking at conferences and events regarding the trends and opportunities within this space.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience within the healthcare sector with direct experience working in a health system, academic medical center or community hospital.

  • RN with leadership experience with additional degree encouraged (e.g., BSN, MSN, MPH, MHA) 

  • Ability to interact with and be an advisor to the healthcare c-suite as a thought partner.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives or projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to draw insights from large amounts of activity in the healthcare market.

  • Interest in and/or experience with innovative technology-enabled healthcare solutions (e.g., digital health).

  • Desired but not required - experience with selecting and implementing a tech enabled solution at a provider organization

  • Comfort working in an entrepreneurial environment and dealing with ambiguity is a plus.

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time is required.

Executive Assistant

AVIA is a healthcare accelerator dedicated to helping healthcare providers with the successful implementation of emerging technology-enabled products and services. AVIA’s mission is to advance the innovation agenda of its provider members while saving them time and resources. As an extender to its members, AVIA identifies, evaluates, selects and supports the implementation of the best solutions aligned with their needs. Operating in a fast-paced small business, the Executive Assistant will have the opportunity to be very involved in many areas of our growing, exciting business and will report directly to the Operations Manager, but will also be responsible for providing support to other executive team members. The successful candidate is likely to have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum or 2-5 years of business experience, including some administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arranges and communicates detailed travel plans and itineraries.
  • Compiles staff expense reports and prepares for monthly client billing.
  • Supports meeting schedules and calendaring.
  • Understands needs and prioritization of groups based on relationship to/with AVIA.  Able to prioritize and serve our members, prospects and advisors.
  • Prepares agendas, notices, minutes and action items for meetings.
  • Handles confidential and non-routine information with a high level of professionalism.
  • Develops and maintains internal relationships and uses internal resources to enhance knowledge and expertise of industry, research, products and services. 
  • Support additional sales, PR, marketing and HR needs, as needed.

Analyst/Senior Analyst

Analysts at AVIA are responsible for leading research on healthcare provider needs and innovative technology-enabled solutions in order to enhance AVIA’s products and services. An Analyst may have a breadth of responsibilities ranging from analyzing healthcare providers innovation capabilities and readiness, to conducting primary and secondary research on technology-enabled solutions, to interacting with healthcare providers in AVIA’s Innovator Network. Individuals in an Analyst role must have a deep passion for improving healthcare, and will quickly be immersed in multiple client situations and research on innovative topics. Given AVIA’s growth, we are looking to add a number of new Analysts to our professional team. These positions are located in Chicago.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provider services: Support service delivery to AVIA’s network of hospital and health systems, including understanding client challenges and performance requirements, deliverable development, and supporting client interaction and presentations.
  • Analysis: Analyze and synthesize data from diverse sources in innovative ways to extract key findings. Extract/Assimilate both quantitative and qualitative information and manipulate data in Excel. Develop recommendations to inform and educate an executive audience.
  • Research: Primary and secondary market research on contemporary provider challenges and innovative companies in the areas of digital health, emerging healthcare technologies and hospital/health system care delivery transformation. Conduct interviews, synthesize notes and distill key takeaways that inform a point of view on a topical area.
  • Project Management: Manage day-to-day aspects of projects in order to ensure outstanding work product in a timely manner in a fast paced environment.
  • Special projects: Assist with special projects such as competitive landscape analysis and social media strategy.
  • Teamwork: Be a valued and contributing member of the AVIA team.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • BS/BA degree
  • Two plus years of work experience post graduation is required

VP Of Provider Solutions

The VP of Provider Solutions is responsible for building AVIA’s business and service lines oriented around common healthcare provider challenges. This individual will work cross-functionally across AVIA to ensure that we both develop in-depth expertise and deliver best of breed technology enabled solutions to providers in AVIA’s Innovation Network.

Key Responsibilities

The VP of Provider Solutions, as both a product and knowledge management leader, is responsible for building, growing, and leading AVIA's business within 1 to 2 areas aligned againt provider strategic priorities or challenges areas. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing a strategic perspective and point of view on each Contemporary Provider Challenge ("CPC") area.
  • Developing a fact-based perspective on customer/end-user needs, constraints and opportunities as it relates to their CPC based on:
    • Building a network of clinical and administrative leaders responsible for the relevant CPC or sub-domains
    • Developing detailed knowledge of solutions and companies
    • Third party research
  • Building and executing the go-to-market plan for their CPC inclusive of:
    • Target customer segments/institutions
    • Marketing materials
    • Products and pricing. Cohorts are the core offering. The network and knowledge accumulated will afford additional opportunities
    • Delivery
  • In conjunction with the VP of Client Experience, marketing and selling participation in cohorts organized around the CPC(s) and identifying additional service opportunities.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Innovation Intelligence, ensuring that AVIA collects information on and develops a perspective on the technology-enabled solutions that address each CPC.
  • Building, overseeing and managing a cohort execution team that will:
    • Interact with provider members to assess strategic context and operational constraints
    • Interact with technology-enabled solution vendors to evaluate solution effectiveness
    • Manage the process of selecting and implementing a solution within the cohort
  • Serve as the expert for AVIA for the 1 to 2 CPC’s, including speaking at conferences and events regarding the trends and opportunities within this space.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience within the healthcare sector, preferably with direct experience working with or for healthcare providers.
  • Advanced degree in healthcare (MPH, MHA), MBA with a focus in healthcare (preferred) or PhD.
  • Ability to interact with healthcare c-suite as the ‘level of thought’ partner.
  • Evidence of ability to build and manage multiple aspects of a business (e.g., strategy, service, project management, organizational development).
  • Ability to synthesize and derive insights from large amounts of activity in the healthcare market.
  • Interest in and/or experience with innovative technology-enabled healthcare solutions (e.g., digital health).
